Il Palazzotto
In the enchanting setting of the Sienese hills, dotted with farmhouses scattered among cypresses, vineyards and olive trees, amidst colors and atmospheres unique in the world, lies the country house "Il Palazzotto," perfectly set in a splendid context.
The 17th-century building was the manor house of the small Borgo della Befa, just 25 kilometers south of Siena and even closer to places that, at the mere mention of them, delight gourmets and bon vivants the world over: suffice it to think of Montalcino for its Brunello, Pienza for its pecorino cheese, or Bagno Vignoni for its thermal baths and its evocative square formed by the ancient Roman-era pool; this, without forgetting the immediate vicinity of the Abbey of Monte Oliveto with its splendid cloister frescoed by Sodoma and Pinturicchio.
